From the Ontario County Sheriff's Office:

"We’ve created a “Handle with Care Registry” for all county residents. The concept would be that if a care giver of a person that has development disabilities or an elderly family member that may be experiencing any array of cognitive decline can simply complete this form to provide law enforcement with better responding knowledge. This information and photo of the subject will prompt to the responding police officer upon dispatch to their address. The intent is to provide the most factual information to a responding police officer so the response can be tailored to the situation at hand and the persons involved. A caregiver can complete and submit the form through the Sheriff’s Office mobile app."
